The Bible is the most important book in the world. All of the young are proud to have a Bible of their own. "My Glorious Bible Story in Pictures" contains 120 stories of the greatest people of the Bible. They are retold in simple words by H. M. Sohn, chief editor of The Immanuel Bible Study Association.The stories are illustrated with colorful pictures by K. S. Lee, life member of The Korea Publishing Artist's Association.

THe Old Testament tells how God made the Universe, and also about the first human being. New Testament tells about the Saviour, Jesus Christ and how we can go to Heaven.

43. King Solomon Turns Away from God

Once King Solomon built a beautiful temple whter God could live forever. He always thanked God, and was very happy.
But as King Solomon got older, lots of his foreign wives mand him turn away from God, and led him to worship their idols. He wasn't like his father King David who had worshiped only God.
King Solomon wasn't faithful to God and he did what God hated. In fact, he built shrines on the east hill of Jerusalem for his foreign wives to worship their own gods. So all of them could burn incense and offer sacrifices to their own gods.
Thus, Solomon turned away from God.
This mand God very angry. So He took the kongdom away from Solomon and gave it to one of his officials.
